Synopsis

Quest's End part 2 The war is over, the elves have won! Before they try to get to the castle the WolfRiders and GoBacks need to return to the GoBacks Lodge to retrieve the children and Redlance (and the wolves).  They find the Lodge in a shambles, discover the ruse with "Bag o'Bones" who Ekuar recognizes as Mekda a fellow rock-shaper who was captured by Greymung's trolls untold years earlier. During the reunion Nightfall (Twen) and Redlance (Ulm) exchange soulnames and in the background the omega female wolf of the pack that was trapped by the trolls  slinks off alone.  Where's she going? Leetah has to face what she's done in trapping One-Eye in his body - life with no soul - he's dead but not... and Kahvi puts Yif and Vaya to rest. Now the elves have won the Palace of the High Ones, but with the Holt Trolls and Picknose (which ruined Two-Edge's "game") but can't REACH the palace because of the metal walls the trolls have placed almost completely around it.  But the she-wolf needs in! Picknose agrees to tear down the walls to show the elves that they've won NOTHING but a dead remnant so the Trolls get to work, to let the elves into their Home.  Suntop and his family enter and see the wolf having some kind of fit and Suntop has to go aid her and that little touch of magic is what she needed - to change back into Timmain!  She leads them all to the scroll-room and with the Preserver Petalwing's assistance they enter to find Orolin, the scroll-keeper has expired.  Timmain has the preservers apply wrapstuff and shows them all, Preservers Trolls and Elves, their origin and history.  As Timmain shows them all the SunVillagers and Gliders of Blue Mountain (and perhaps *all* of the scattered Elfin tribes?) get to join with the story... and the story continues as Rainsong gives birth to her newest baby. In the aftermath of the telling, the GoBacks and Trolls start to fight again, but Cutter nips that in the bud. Rayek and Ekuar and Petalwing & Skywise decide that they will stay in the palace, to learn what they can - and Clearbrook has the Preservers put One-Eye's body in wrapstuff.  The Trolls retire to their new "kingdom".  The GoBacks decide to stay in their den and rebuild their tribe. The WolfRiders will build a new Holt, in the Forbidden Grove.  But Two-Edge has escaped...
